You don't need expensive equipment or complex setups to do amazing science at home. Here are some of our favorite experiments using common household items!

🍋 Volcano Eruption

Materials: Baking soda, vinegar, food coloring, dish soap

Add baking soda to a container, mix in dish soap and food coloring, then pour in vinegar for an erupting volcano!

🌱 Growing Crystals

Materials: Sugar, water, string, jar

Dissolve lots of sugar in hot water, hang string in the jar, and watch crystals form over several days!

🥚 Egg in Vinegar

Materials: Raw egg, white vinegar

Place an egg in vinegar for 3 days and watch the shell dissolve, leaving a bouncy rubber egg!

🌈 Density Tower

Materials: Honey, corn syrup, dish soap, water, oil, rubbing alcohol

Layer liquids of different densities in a glass to create a colorful rainbow tower!
