Easy daily schedules that make homeschool flow smoothly

Back to Homeschool Resources

One of the most common questions I hear from new homeschool families is: "How do you actually structure your day with unit studies?" The answer is simpler than you might think!

You don't need complex schedules or elaborate planning. Here's a simple framework that works for families with kids of different ages and learning styles.

A Simple 3-Block Schedule

Sample Daily Schedule

Morning

Circle Time + Unit Study Intro (30 min)

Read aloud, watch a short video, or discuss what we'll learn today

Mid-Day

Hands-On Activities (45-60 min)

Science experiment, art project, or interactive learning

Afternoon

Reading & Writing (30 min)

Books about the topic, journal writing, or reports

Math and reading can be woven throughout the day or done separately—whatever works best for your family!
